Identifying Asbestos Tiles

Asbestos floor tiles can be either 9x 9 or 12 x 12. The best and only way to know if you have asbestos floor tiles is to get them tested. You can obtain your own test kit, or you can get in contact with one of the many Massachusetts-based asbestos abatement contractors to help administer the test. The at-home tests costs between ten to forty-five dollars. Another option you could choose is to send a floor sample to an asbestos-testing lab. It will be important to know if the tile itself and/or the mastic test positive for asbestos content.
